Women In Need celebrated the service of over 300 WIN volunteers at the Annual Volunteer Recognition Reception on June 8th, 2009 at Baruch College.
Volunteers and staff mingled over appetizers and refreshments before gathering to reminisce over a slide show of past volunteer events. The volunteers were thanked by WIN's President & CEO, Bonnie Stone, and given an overview of the future of WIN volunteering by Jennie A. Clarke Program Director, Mary Beth Gonzales.
The Suzanne Pincus Commit to WIN Awards were presented to New York Cares (group award) and Doris O’Connell (individual award) for their outstanding service to WIN’s mission. Garraud Etienne, WIN’s Assistant Vice President of Program Management, presented certificates to this year’s Corporate Partners: Congregation Rodeph Sholom, Project Moving On, House of the Roses Volunteer Dance Company, Stockings With Care, and The Taproot Foundation. The night was finished off with lots of pictures and a giant thank you from Women In Need to its volunteers!
