Transitional Housing/Shelter

 

WIN has 596 family units of various sizes in six transitional shelter facilities in Manhattan, the Bronx and Brooklyn.

 

Working with public agencies and community groups, the private sector and nonprofit organizations, Women In Need provides transitional housing to more than 2,500 people each night, including more than 1,500 children.

 

At each of WIN’s transitional facilities, families can utilize services that address their unique needs, including housing and entitlements assistance, referrals to family violence counseling, substance abuse treatment programs and legal and other support services.
