Nearly 9,000 families are currently homeless in New York City and almost all are comprised of single women and their children. They are without a home or support from family or friends and are struggling to make a better life for themselves and their children.

 

This Valentine’s Day, instead of sending a heart-shaped box of candy or a teddy bear, we ask that you open your heart and send a WIN Valentine’s Day Card or Keepsake gift to a friend or loved one instead. For a minimum donation of $25, WIN will send a special card or gift to that special person, featuring a picture drawn by a child in a WIN program, announcing that a Valentine’s Day gift has been given in their name.

 

The past year has been difficult for many people but especially for the families living in our shelters. Through the generosity of so many, WIN is helping to make a difference in their lives but we still need your support. Your gift will ensure that New York City’s most vulnerable – women and children — have the tools and guidance they need to overcome the toughest obstacles and live stronger, more self-sufficient lives where they belong — back in the community.
